This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

hey, can you send me some info about what material you used to make the ODST armor... and maybe how? cuz i was planning on making my own set, but i dont know what material to use for the helmet, or how to make the rest of the armor. also, any info on where i can buy the silenced smg?
It is fairly simple to create. what you need: 1. 110 lbs. card stock. It is basically like note cards but the size of copy paper. you want to get 8.5 x 11 in. can be found at any office supply store and maybe walmart. 2. hot glue gun / hot glue 3. fiberglass resin and seperate hardener( resin comes with hardener but i found it works better to buy hardener instead of using free stuff)- found at home improvement stores, i got mine at lowes, you will need at least 3 cans of it, thats how many i used. 4. fiberglass cloth or matte, about 4 packs, about 36 sq feet. that should be plenty. 5. scissors 6. a whole bunch of cheap paintbrushes 7. industrial strength rubber gloves 8. a respirator breathing mask, the fiberglass resin is really hazardous to your lungs.
go here to get help with sizing your armor, you will need it. its a big site, you can join and look around freely. just search for sizing armor or something like that.
and go here to get the program you may need to view/print/resize or armor. it may sound comlicated, but once you get started, its really easy, just time consuming
1. download Pepakura viewer and Pepakura Designer (its 2 seperate programs) 2. download pepfiles from the halo wiki page i gave you the link to. 3. you will need to use Pepakura Designer to size it to your dimensions 4. Print 5. Cut and fold the pieces 6. glue together ( pieces are usually marked by numbers and you just match the numbers, if they are not, us the Pepakura Viewer program to view the files and use the 3d image from the program as a reference. (it will make sense) MAKE SURE TO GET A GOOD BOND BETWEEN PIECES. IF YOU DONT, THE RESIN WILL MAKE THEM COME UNGLUED BECAUSE IT DOES HEAT UP. YOU DONT HAVE TO GO SPARINGLY WITH THE HOT GLUE. 7. Resin stage- the resin cans have lids, mix about 20 to 25 drops of hardener in a lid full of resin. I know the video says 5 drops but it will mess you up, it did mine. I ended up using as much as 50 drops sometimes. use a brush and basically paint the resin on the OUTSIDE of the armor. i put 2 to 3 coats on ours. 8. fiberglassing- cut the cloth or matte you bought into strips. mix resin as stated in # 7. coat the INSIDE of the armor now and put strips of the material INSIDE the armor. then put another coat of resin on the material. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT GOING LIGHTLY, PROBABLY THE MORE THE BETTER. 9. sanding- make sure its nice and smooth, or as smooth as you want it. 10. painting- use a gray primer first on all pieces. then paint with whatever you want.
then your done. there is plenty of info everywhere for this so just look around. this should help you get started though.
if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
p.s. if you want your armor to be really smooth, buy some acrylic paste or something that will turn very hard like it. apply to the outside of your armor after you have fiberglassed it, the sand the hardened paste. its what i will do next time i make armor. like the odst helmet is supposed to be round, but its not a smooth round if you leave it just the way it is. you will know what i mean when you get there.

hey, i cant really understand what the video is saying.... i know im bothering by asking this, but can you PLEASE just send me a list of what you pretty much did when you made your suit? i understood something about resin, fiberglass, and that i need gloves and a respitory device, but the other instructions kinda confused me. if you could just send me a list of what YOU did, itd be appreciated, cuz i want to make a suit for me and my Girlfriend for halloween since were both kinda gamers... also, and estimate on how long this "project" mite take would be appreciated. like i said before, i know im taking up your time, but i would really appreciate this. Also, thx for the help so far.
the list was in the first message. I doubt you will be able to make 2 sets by halloween, but if you devote a whole lot of your time to it, you may be able to. ok what you need buy 110lb cardstock (can be found in any office supply store. make sure its 8.5 x 11) you will need about 5 cans of resin for 2 sets of armor. you may need 6. also, buy some additional hardener. the resin will come with some but i tried using it and it ruined my first 2 pieces i made.... so additional hardener. fiberglass cloth industrial strength rubber gloves a breathing respirator cheap paintbrushes hot glue gun and glue gray primer and spraypaint
Pepakura Designer and Pepakura Viewer download the files you need bring up the files in pepakura designer and you will need to scale them to your sizes, which for help with that you need to go to the 405th. com forums print them out on the cardstock cut out and glue together mix the hardener and resin(OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE) and just paint it on and let it dry ( you will have to do more than one mix of resin) cut the fiberglass cloth into strips and put them on the inside of the armor then resin the cloth ( this will be the most annoying stage) let that dry sand it down prime it paint it
basically thats it just look up pepakura armor making and can find tons of info but it isnt a quick process and can be very difficult in some stages. u will have to work absolutely nonstop to get it done by the 31st
